Spicy Tofu with Miso

Ingredients:

1 300g package Ying Ying firm or soft tofu
2 tablespoon oil
1 Tablespoon Ying Ying miso
1 jalapeno pepper
1 teaspoon tamari
1 teaspoon cornstarch
2 clove garlic
1 green onion sliced

Instructions:

1. Cut tofu into strips with 1 cm thickness, blanch tofu in boiling water for 2 minutes and drain, and put aside.
2. Mince garlic, slice green onion, jalapeno. Mix miso with 4 tablespoons water. Mix cornstarch with 1 tablespoon water.
3. Set wok (or non-stick pan) on medium heat, add 2 tablespoon oil,
garlic and jalapeno pepper and sauté until garlic slightly browned. Then add tofu, miso and tamari. Stir gently.
4. Let tofu simmer for 3 minutes add cornstarch mixture.
5. Serve immediately as is or with rice.
