We have been proudly serving Canadians with the best tasting tofu made right here in Ontario. All of our products are all meticulously hand-made in the traditional way using the original coagulant, Nigari, which is derived from sea water. Tofu is associated with healthful and conscious living. Gourmet Tofu LabelOur products are emphasized around this idea and are helping Canadians build and maintain lifelong healthy eating. Our products are made with Certified Organic Soybeans grown in Ontario which are Non-GMO. Who says good food does not have to taste good? Gourmet Tofu

Our "Gourmet Tofu" is Ying Ying's feature product line. Gourmet Tofu comes in six different flavours/styles including Sweet and Sour, Sweet and Spicy, Miso, Tomato, Black Bean, and Curry.

"What makes your tofu gourmet?" One of our astute customers once asked this important question.

The answer to this question is two fold. First, our base tofu is hand made in the traditional way using Nigari. Derived from sea water, Nigari is a natural coagulant (it's what makes the tofu firm) Tofu Shish kebaband is the original curding agent used when tofu was first invented in China 2000 years ago. This traditional process gives Nigari tofu a refined texture and a naturally sweet taste. We firmly believe that our tofuGourmet Tofu Label is the best available in North America and as a result all of our products, including the Gourmet Tofu, are of exceptional quality and taste. The second reason why our Gourmet Tofu is gourmet is that we prepare each type home-style with fresh ingredients. Our products do not contain any preservatives, MSG, or any other artificial ingredients. It is just like the meals you would cook at home.

Gourmet Tofu is delicious and can be eaten straight out of the package as a quick and nutritious snack. You can also use Gourmet Tofu for stir-fries, salads, wraps, vegetarian chillies, shish kebob and even as a pizza topping.

Nigari Tofu (Plain, Firm)

Our Plain Nigari Tofu is the traditional style plain tofu. It is, however, the product that best reflects the quality of our tofu line. Making tofu with Nigari is similar to making cheese as curds are formed which are then pressed tightly together . The process is more difficult however, the resulting tofu has a high protein content, a pleasing texture and an excellent, naturally sweet taste. Try it once, you will taste the difference.

Tofu Burgers

Ying Ying's Tofu Burgers are genuine and wholesome tofu burgers, because they are made with nothing but pure, Nigari Tofu seasoned with spices and herbs. There are no fillers or additives. You don't have to be an vegetarian to enjoy our delicious tofu burgers.

Okara Burgers

Okara is mainly soy fibre, similar to wheat bran. It is 50% dietary fibre, and high in minerals and protein too. The burger's main ingredients are Okara, onion, carrot, shitake mushroom and whole wheat flour. It has a falafel like texture.

Tofu Balls

Tofu Balls are a unique tofu product. They can be used in pasta sauce as a meat ball substitute, in stir-fries, or on skewer for the BBQ. Baked or pan fried, whole or quartered, they make a great appetizer.

Smoked Tofu

Our smoked tofu is a very unique product. It is made with compressed tofu sheets (like pasta sheets). The tofu sheets are rolled into a loaf and then naturally smoked with tea and sugar. We do not use any chemical smoke to flavour our products. The resulting tofu is unique and flavourful and great to use in salads and stir-fries.

"Honey Garlic" Tofu Loaf

Our "Honey Garlic" Tofu Loaf is hand-made with our versatile tofu sheets, laced with fresh ginger and garlic, and slightly sweetened. It can be served as a cold cut; and can be served hot as well. It is excellent for making sandwiches.

Tofu Roast (Tofu "Turkey")Tofu Roast

Our Tofu Turkey is Ying Ying's creation for Canadian consumers. It is a holiday item as is only available at Easter, Thanksgiving's and Christmas. It is hand made with our prized tofu sheet,stuffed with an old style Canadian recipe for turkey stuffing. It is delicious! Best of all, it does not require any cooking. Just heat and serve.

Ying Ying's Miso Paste

Miso is a 3000 year old Chinese condiment. Our miso paste is a premium quality product, only produced in small batches with an extended fermentation period of six months or more. Our miso is made in accordance of a family recipe that our owner inherited from her mother. The only modification made to the recipe was the substitution of wheat flour for rice flour making the miso gluten free.

Miso is a very diverse product and can be used to make soups, salad dressings and dips. Please visit our recipes section for more ideas.
